This is our 2nd visit to Abington Briars Cottage as we were quite impressed with the accommodation and beautiful location on our first visit. However, this 2nd visit ended on an extremely sour note. After vacating the cottage by the stipulated departure time and while having breakfast in a local Foster caf, I received a phone call from Linda who was obviously irate. Demanding the whereabouts of a plastic plug which apparently holds the magnet strip along the shower screen door in place, I was shocked by her aggressive tone. While I tried to explain that I did not see the piece she was looking for she suddenly saw it on the bathroom windowsill and went on to accuse me of being dishonest and abruptly hung up the phone. (Later my wife explained she found it on the floor during our stay, and put it on the windowsill because she didnt know what it was).Lindas comment during her phone call that I should have notified her about the magnet strip sliding down the shower screen door was interesting as she had made no effort to contact us when I tried to ring and text her to notify her of a power loss on the first night of our 3 night stay. Even our follow up text to let her know that the power had come back on was not acknowledged. Not once did we have any personal contact with her except for the unfortunate call after our departure. As a senior couple (60s), who have stayed at many B & Bs in Victoria over the years, we have never encountered such behaviour from any host and were therefore shocked by Lindas manners. It certainly spoilt my wifes birthday getaway gift, which I had organised for her. We understand that the Christmas season can be especially stressful for some people, but nothing Linda can say to justify her aggression and accusation can excuse such rudeness.

What a great little spot ... awesome view, awesome location & awesome hot tub. We both really enjoyed our short stay & will definitely recommend to fiends :) thank you Linda !

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! LINDA IS NOTHING BUT RUDE! DISGUSTING ATTITUDE AND SERVICE! ENTERED OUR PREMISES AT 2AM IN THE MORNING TRYING TO OPEN THE DOORS!!! NOT A "PRIVATE" GET AWAY AT ALL! BE AWARE!! - NO MISREPRESENTATION!

The most beautiful place on the earth. It is actually a peice of heaven. The lady looking aftet this place is a very nice person and she decorated this cottage exquisitely.

Wow. The pictures on Google of Abington Briar Cottage does not truly describe the absolute beauty of this place. We were absolutely in love with this cottage. It was clean, warm, comfortable and the attention to detail was spot on. We did not want for anything. The owner Linda was excellent in her personal service and communication before we arrived and even afterwards when we left she posted an item we forgot to bring back with us. Her garden was delightful and serene. The spa lifted the quality of this accomodation to higher standards. We will be back! Thank you Linda!Pamela and David
