Interesting place. The Foster museum was full of lots of fascinating articles, objects and artefacts ranging from old newspaper articles, tools and sporting memorabilia along with books, old sewing machines and general machinery and hand tools. Around the back there was an old boat structure, a wood cutters hut, an old classroom set out as it would have been back in the day when ink was still used and God Save the Queen was still our anthem, a building reconstructing the homes of the era in the area complete with furniture and decorations. Fascinating for anyone interested in history, and feels like stepping back in time. The museum was located next door to the information centre and a gallery and gift shop. The gallery has interesting exhibitions and in this case a free one showcasing Australian wildlife such as an emu made from fencing material, and Fish carved from old rusty metal.
